Prof. Dr. Christian Pieter Hoffmann is Professor of Communication Management at the Institute of Communication and Media Studies at the University of Leipzig. In addition, he is responsible for teaching in the field of political communication in cooperation with the Institute for Political Science. Hoffman is a lecture at the University of St. Gallen, Singapore Management University, Johannes Gutenberg-University of Mainz and University of Applied Sciences Zurich.
He is a member of the Steering Committee of the Center for Corporate Reporting, the academic board of the Deutschen Investor Relations Verband, the research group ISPRAT e.V. as well as member of the executive committee of the Organizational Communication and Information Systems Division of Academy of Management.
His research interests include strategic communication management, financial communication and political communication – with a particular focus on the challenges and opportunities provided by new media.

Sandra Binder-Tietz works as a Research Associate and PhD candidate at the Department of Communication Management as well as for the Center for Research in Financial Communications. She holds the PhD scholarship for Financial Communication from Hering Schuppener. From 2010 to 2015, she worked at the strategic communication consultancy Hering Schuppener in Frankfurt and New York, where her last position was Associate Director focusing on capital market transactions and investor relations.
Her doctoral dissertation project examines the "role of the chairman of the supervisory board in strategic communications and investor relations".
She founded “IRNext – the networking platform for the next generation of IR officers” in 2014 in cooperation with Deutschen Investor Relations Verband.
Her research interests include financial communications, investor relations, digitalization, strategic communication management and corporate communications.

Lea Knabben works as a Research Associate and PhD candidate at the Department of Communication Management. She holds the PhD scholarship for Financial Communication which is provided by the Center for Corporate Reporting and she works for the Center of Research in Financial Communication. From 2016 to 2018, she was acting as a working student for innovation and market research of major manufacturers in Germany. She wrote her master’s thesis at Porsche AG on the topic of innovation communication.
Her research interests include financial communications, startups and innovation communication.
Lena Biberacher is a Research Assistant at the Department of Communication Management and supports various research projects at the Center for Research in Financial Communications.
She is a student of the master program Communication Management at the University of Leipzig. Before that, she studied Public Relations at the Hochschule der Medien in Stuttgart and at the Ryerson University in Toronto.
Maximilian Van Poele is a Research Assistant at the Department of Communication Management and supports various research projects at the Center for Research in Financial Communications.
He is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Communication Management at the University of Leipzig. Previously, he completed his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media and Communication Science at the University of Mannheim.
Dr. Kristin Köhler is Senior Manager Investor Relations & Financial Communiactions at Lonza Group Ltd (Switzerland) and associated researcher at the Center for Research in Financial Communication. Prior to that, she was a research associate at the Chair of Strategic Communication at the University of Leipzig and project leader of the Academic Society for Management and Communication, Leipzig. She wrote her doctoral thesis on «Investor Relations in Deutschland. Institutionalisierung - Professionalisierung - Kapitalmarktentwicklung - Perspektiven»
Cornelia Böhland is the administrative assistant of the department of Communication Management at the University of Leipzig. She is also the administrative contact for the Center for Research in Financial Communication.
