The knowledge and skills of employees are increasingly becoming an essential resource for companies. To attract qualified employees, HR departments are increasingly focusing on a strategically developed competency profile, which is used during the hiring process to pay particular attention to the appropriate skills of applicants. As a result of progressive professionalization, the skills required for professionals in the fields of investor relations and financial communications have also changed significantly in recent years.
This brief study examines the question: Which competencies are required from the employers' perspective in the field of investor relations and financial communication?
The study is based on a content analysis of job advertisements and shows that two areas are particularly important: Communication and an understanding of economics.
