Steering Committee

The Steering Committee supports and advises the research team of the Center for Research in Financial Communication.

Prof. Dr. Bernd Schuppener is Chairman of the Günter Thiele Foundation for Communication and Management. He is the founder of the Hering Schuppener group (now FGS Global), and was a Honorary Professor for Communication Management at the University of Leipzig.


Dr. Stefanie Wettberg is Senior Vice President Investor Relations at BASF SE. She joined the Treasury department of BASF in Ludwigshafen, Germany, in 2003. From 2005 until 2009, she worked as executive staff to the CFO. From 2009 until 2011, she was Vice President Finance & Controlling at BASF Antwerpen N.V. in Belgium. From 2011 until 2016, she was Vice President Corporate Communications at BASF SE in Ludwigshafen. Stefanie Wettberg studied economics at the University of Heidelberg, where she also worked as an academic assistant before receiving a doctorate in economics.


Ingrid Haas is as a Managing Director responsible for the Group Communications and Marketing at Deutsche Börse AG. Before joining Deutsche Börse, she has been running her own communications consultancy since leaving her position as Head of Corporate Affairs with Vodafone Deutschland. Prior to that, she was Managing Director of Publishing at Gruner+Jahr Wirtschaftsmedien, and Information Director, Executive Secretary and Communications Director member of Management at RTL Television. Ingrid Haas studied humanities and social sciences at the universities of Heidelberg, Paris and Tübingen.


Dr. Robert Vollrath is Partner at FGS Gobal focusing on financial communication and investor relations, including corporate governance. Before, he was Deputy Head of Investor Relations at Deutsche Bank and issuer representative on the Executive Board of the German Investor Relations Association (DIRK). From 2001 to 2009, Dr. Robert Vollrath worked as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company in Germany and New York. Subsequently, he was responsible for setting up the OTC Clearing business at Deutsche Börse Group. Dr. Robert Vollrath holds a PhD from the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel and a degree in Business Administration from WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management.
