Financial communication is a strategic corporate function of high and ever growing importance. The Center for Research in Financial Communication reflects this significance in the form of a dedicated academic research institution supported by renowned partners.

The Center for Research in Financial Communication pursues the goal to establish and strengthen the field of financial communication in academic research and teaching as well as the knowledge transfer between science and practice. It contributes to the further professionalization of the field.

The Center for Research in Financial Communication focuses on the initiation, coordination, implementation and communication of national and international research projects in the field of financial communication and investor relations.

Its activities range from basic research to applied research with pronounced practical relevance. A close relationship with the practice of financial communication is therefore essential.

Research on financial communication combines distinct disciplines such as communication science, business and economics or law. CRiFC aims to connect leading researchers in the corresponding disciplines as well as link science and practice.

Networking and knowledge-transfer with practice

In order to promote an inspiring exchange between science and practice, the “Financial Communication Summit” took place in September 2017 for the first time.

The Financial Communication Summit is planned as an annual event. Participation is by invitation only.

The Center for Research in Financial Communication supports the lively exchange between research and practice in the field of financial communication.

Various events and regular exchanges serve to raise awareness about the challenges and issues of practice and strengthen the practical relevance of research projects. The academic perspective provided by CRiFC can offer impulses for the implementation of financial communication. 

Strengthen teaching and promoting young talents

One of the key objectives of the Center for Research in Financial Communication is to provide students with an in-depth understanding of theoretical and strategic challenges in the field of financial communication. Through projects, theses and seminars, CRiFC offers opportunities to familiarize students with relevant research questions and methods in the field of financial communication.
