Communication from Supervisory Board Chairs

In her doctoral thesis, Sandra Binder-Tietz presents a comprehensive analysis of the communication of supervisory board chairpersons of listed companies. Their complex communicative role is systematically explored for the first time.

From the external perspective, the complex communication requirements of relevant stakeholders such as investors, shareholder protectors, voting rights advisors and journalists are highlighted. From the internal perspective of supervisory board chairs, investor relations and public relations officers, the internal and external communication measures of supervisory board chairs. On this basis, the need for why and how communication should become an integral part of corporate communication management is justified.

Implications and recommendations are developed for research and practice on how successful communication by supervisory board chairpersons can look.
