12th RIC Conference: Interdisciplinary Exchange on Capital Market Communication and Finance

On August 20, 2026, the 12th RIC Conference took place at HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management. The conference is jointly organized by the Chair of Accounting & Capital Market Communication at HHL and the Chair of Communication Management at Leipzig University, headed by Prof. Dr. Christian Pieter Hoffmann.

The established research format aims to bring together current research at the intersections of accounting, finance, capital market research, and communication science, providing a forum to discuss ongoing research projects and develop new interdisciplinary perspectives.

This year’s conference featured research on the relationship between integrated disclosure and the cost of capital, the pricing of sustainability risks by investors in European equity markets, as well as the credibility of AI announcements and generative AI literacy among auditors.

The long-standing cooperation between Leipzig University and HHL provides an important platform for interdisciplinary academic exchange. Combining perspectives from communication science, accounting, and capital market research opens up new ways of addressing current questions in financial and capital market communication.

We would like to thank all participants for the constructive and inspiring discussions and our colleagues at HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management for the successful collaboration. We look forward to continuing this academic exchange in the years ahead.
