New Open Access Publication: in Investor Relations

The Center for Research in Financial Communication has published a new study on the integration of sustainability into investor relations.
The findings show that while sustainability is gaining importance in IR, it is not yet fully embedded in core financial communication practices. IR teams still rely heavily on internal ESG experts, highlighting existing capability gaps.
A key insight of the study is that strategic alignment and governance structures are critical for successfully integrating sustainability into investor communication.
The study emphasizes that embedding sustainability in IR is not merely a reporting task but requires organizational change and capability development.
