Sustainability in capital market communication
With the study “Sustainability in Capital Market Communication – An Empirical Analysis of Sustainability Communication of German Listed Companies to the Capital Market”, the Center for Research in Financial Communication in cooperation with DIRK – Deutscher Investor Relations Verband publishes the results from a broad empirical study of listed companies in Germany.
The research project in cooperation with Aurubis, Deutsche Lufthansa, DPDHL and Zalando shows how – and also how differently – sustainability communication to the capital market takes shape.

Among other things, the challenges, responsibilities, processes, measures, and instruments of capital market communication on the topic of sustainability were analyzed. Furthermore, three degrees of professionalization of sustainability communication to the capital market were derived from this and a state of the art investor relations program for sustainability was described.
The project team, under the academic direction of Prof. Dr. Christian Hoffmann and Sandra Binder-Tietz, consisted of seven students from the Leipzig master’s degree program in Communication Management: Melanie Bauer, Lena Biberacher, Helene Lamprecht, Elisa Strey, Lea Thomas, Maximilian Van Poele and Lea Waskowiak.
