Competencies in the professional field of investor relations and financial communication
The knowledge and skills of employees are increasingly becoming an essential resource for companies. In order to recruit qualified employees, HR departments are increasingly guided by a strategically developed competency profile, with the help of which particular attention is paid to the relevant skills of applicants during the recruitment process. As a result of advancing professionalization, the skills required of professionals in the field of investor relations and financial communications have also changed significantly in recent years.

The brief study explores the question: What competencies are required in the field of investor relations and financial communications from the perspective of employers?
The study is based on a content analysis of job advertisements and shows that two areas are particularly important: Communication and an understanding of economics.
